ARG Paranormal is a group of paranormal investigators based out of Visalia, California.  Founded by a small group of individuals with a curiosity into the paranormal in January of 2007, it quickly became apparent that the subject was much more fascinating than originally anticipated.  Motivated by impressive findings a few months later, we quickly began adding more scientific equipment to our arsenal.  By August, we had added several audio recorders, a thermal imaging camera, a digital infrared still camera, two camcorders, and several EMF meters.  The purchase of two Trifield Meters were made in December and an Air Ion Counter in May, 2008.   Our methodology is to investigate possible activity as thoroughly and scientifically as possible.  At least one person will be awake at all times during overnight investigations even if not actively investigating.  This is to ensure that someone is always around to at least witness possible phenomena.  We do not claim to be or believe ourselves to be psychic or sensitive above the level of any normal human.  While we do believe in the possibility of psychics and find some to be credible, our scientific methodology demands that we view everything with skepticism.  We respect these individuals and value their insight but cannot base our opinions of a location on them.   Our goal is not only to investigate the paranormal, but also to help people understand that ghosts and other activity are nothing to be afraid of.  The human mind is naturally fearful of the unknown and ghosts certainly fit that criteria.  The fact that some cultures view hauntings as a mental health issue to be laughed at and that some religions may shun those that believe in the paranormal or are experiencing genuine hauntings does nothing to ease that fear.  We feel the majority of ghosts are friendly, confused, or are not even aware of the presence of others.    Others may simply find amusement in attempting to scare you.  Otherwise bricks and other objects would be flying around and killing people on a daily basis.  This means that interpreting activity correctly is very important.  Some people automatically assume that if they "feel" a presence that it is evil or trying to hurt them, or that a poke or touch may be an attempt at bodily harm.  A poke or a noise is nothing more than a spirit trying to get your attention in order to let you know they are there.  The fear is a simple psychological response to the unknown and has nothing to do with the intention of the spirit itself.  Some spirits may realize this and refuse to present themselves in any way.  For example, the spirit of a relative may not present itself due to the fear it could cause.
